About Me

My first encounter with yoga was in 2012. I couldn’t touch my toes, but I was curious. At first, it didn’t stick. Yet over the next few years, I kept finding my way back to it. Now, I see that as the beginning of what has become my heart’s calling.

In 2015, I started attending regular classes in London. I still remember the sense of calm and space that came over me during those 90-minute, breath-led practices. For the first time, my busy, anxious mind could rest. It felt so good. I was also drawn to the physicality of the practice, preferring it to other forms of exercise. It wasn’t until later that I began to understand that yoga offered something much deeper.

As life became more chaotic, I turned to yoga to help guide me back into my body. That’s when I began to uncover its true magic. My curiosity deepened, as did my longing for a new way of living.

I enrolled in my 200-hour yoga teacher training. It was life-changing. I came to understand yoga not just as movement, but as a way of life. I never expected to teach, I was terrified of public speaking, however through the training, I faced that fear head-on. And surprisingly, I found I loved teaching and holding space.

Since then, I’ve remained committed to learning and growing, both as a student and teacher. I’ve taken several further trainings and I am always immersed in books or practices that continue to shape my teaching and self-inquiry. This year, I completed my 300-hour Advanced Teacher Training with High Yoga School which I couldn’t be happier about.

In addition to teaching, I hold space for ceremony and ritual. These gatherings have quickly become some of my most loved work. They offer us a way to connect to that which is sacred in life, to live life more fully and to cultivate awe in the everyday.

How I Approach Teaching

I teach yoga to help people learn the language of the body. In my own practice, learning the language of my body has deepened my understanding of my Self, and led me toward greater freedom and ease. This is something I hope to share with others.

I teach from the heart and felt experience. I honour the roots of yoga and guide students to connect with their inner experience, rather than their outer form. My classes are welcoming and accessible, and I encourage students to explore their practice in a way that feels supportive for their own body and needs.

I recognise that everyone arrives with their unique story, body, and circumstances. What we need from our practice varies, and to support this I offer choices, making space for students to do as much or as little as they like.

Each practice is thoughtfully sequenced in a way that encourages a deepening into ourselves, whether through asana, the subtle body or stillness. Ultimately, my hope is for us to begin to live the language of the body off of the mat, moving toward greater peace and freedom within ourselves and the world around us.
